Tor（トア）は、OSやソフトが異なるシステムのアーキテクチャに対応しているクロスプラットフォームのグラフィカルコントローラーです。
Torは、インターネット上での安全性とセキュリティを向上したい人のために設計されているツールセットです。 Webブラウジングやインスタントメッセージで個人を特定されたくないという経験はないでしょうか。ビジネスで、機密情報をやり取りするときにハッキングを避けたり、一般ユーザーでも、ISP、キーロガー、マルウェアなどで行動を追跡されないために、TCPプロトコルを使用する他のアプリケーションを匿名化することができます。
Torは、“オニオンルーター"（アイコンのイラスト）を呼び出し、サーバの分散ネットワークへのトラフィックを作動させることによって動きます。 Torのインターフェイス上で簡単にそのオンオフを切り替えられます。再起動などの必要もなく、簡単に扱えるのが特徴的です。オンにしたいときは、代わりとなるIPアドレスがある場所を正確に表示した世界地図に基づいて、各種プロキシトンネルを選択できます。
Torが働いているか、あなたが匿名でないか、サーフィンをしているかどうかを確認するためにオンラインで、 "Tor検出器"を使用することができます。 接続は任意の一時点でネットワークにログオンします。通常は非常に高速で作動しますが、ユーザー数に応じて場合によって時間がかかることがあります。正しく作動し、接続が確立されたときには、アイコンのタスクバーが黄色から緑色に変わります。

We thinkthat these attacks are infeasible (requiring the attacker to sendon the order of zettabytes of altered cells in a short interval),but we'd rather block them off in case there are any classes ofthis attack that we missed.
